Picture of Evonne Turner-ByfieldEvonne Turner-Byfield is a New Jersey native who graduated from Drexel University with a B.A. in anthropology.  In 2010, she received the Cohen Award for her research on cultural restitution for survivors of Apartheid and the Holocaust.  She received an MSc in Forensic Anthropology from Boston University in 2012 and an M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins in 2015.  Her interests are wide and varied, but center around bioarchaeology, human rights, museum studies and the histories and lifestyles of marginalized populations in the Caribbean.  In her spare time, she enjoys designing jewelry, soccer, and novels.
