Dr. Stacy Harnish is the director of the Aphasia Laboratory at The Ohio State University. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at OSU and teaches courses in Adult Language Disorders, Motor Speech Disorders, and Introduction to Language Science and Language Disorders. Dr. Harnish completed a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University in 2000, M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Cincinnati in 2004, and Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Cincinnati in 2008. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the University of Florida followed by two-years as a VA investigator, funded by a VA Career Development Award at the VA RR&D Brain Rehabilitation Research Center of Excellence in Gainesville, Florida. Stacy is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist with research interests in aphasia treatment and the neural underpinnings of aphasia rehabilitation.
