Team Membership Basics
You can be a member of many teams within OSU Extension. Do not spread yourself too thin – you will want to define your team membership for yourself and for the team leadership. You might have 2 teams where you are a core member, but 2-3 others where you have different levels of membership.
Team Leadership – You are the team leader or co-leader. You organize the team to plan goals for the year, plan meetings and summarize deliverables/impacts.
Core Membership – You participate in planning with the team leadership. You produce educational materials, presentations and assist with major projects.
Affiliate Membership – You assist with projects from time to time during the year. You attend team meetings. You get all communications, but do not always actively participate in team events.
Informational Membership – You get all communications from the team, but you do not necessarily participate in team meetings and program planning. This may be an area where you need the information to meet the needs of local clientele, but you are already involved in other projects and programs which may limit your time allocations.
