What is Biological Engineering?

Biological Engineering is a branch of the Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering major at Ohio State. Biological Engineering specifically looks at the real world applications of engineering to living systems. It uses a vast amount of knowledge from the life and physical sciences to approach and solve problems from an engineering perspective. Common fields that biological engineers work include the genetic modifications of microorganisms, 3D-printing organs, and  biomimetics.
