Artifact #2

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

The photo above is of my girls lacrosse team from Junior year of High School. I was a member of the team all four years of my high school, and my Junior year (as shown above), we advanced to state semi-finals. Over my years playing for the team, I learned a lot about hard-work, persistency, and made many friendships. Although we did not win the state title, we worked our hardest and grew as a team. I am very proud to say I was a member of the team.

The photo above is of a group of peers that I worked with during high school in a program called Freshman Mentoring. I myself was a Mentor both my Senior and Junior year of High School, where I gave up my free period everyday to instruct a class to Freshmen. Over the years, I worked very closely with over 35 students to build trusting relationships and guide them to success in high school. Although my duty was to teach lessons to the Freshmen, I ended up learning a lot about myself along the way. I learned the importance of trust, commitment, and hard work, which ultimately made me a more successful student and person. I am so lucky to have met the students in this photo, and to have participated in such an amazing program.
