OSU Student Life Disability Services

Student Life Disability Services collaborates with and empowers students and recent graduates who have disabilities in order to coordinate support services and programs that enable equal access to an education and university life.

American with Disabilities Act

Provides information on the Americans with Disabilities ACT (ADA). Prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodation, communications, and governmental activities.

Disablity.gov

Provides information for people with disabilities considering going to work while still being able to receive disability benefits.

Job Accommodation Network (JAN)

JAN provides free, confidential technical assistance about job accommodations and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

United States Department of Labor Disability Resources

The U.S Department of Labor enforces the Americans with Disabilities Act. It provides information and links to federal agencies enforcing the ADA as well as the Department of Labor’s Office of
Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).

action and open door policies. Offers Virtual Career Fair and ABILITY Magazine, an award winning publication.

Bender Consulting works with private sector and government employers to recruit, screen, and hire people with disabilities for professional positions.

disABLED Person

Job posting board and recruiting service specifically for job seekers with disabilities. Account registration is free for both job seekers and employers. Site offers email and SMS texting job
alerts with job listings sent out daily.

Emerging Leaders

Summer internships and leadership opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities. Qualifications to apply for the Emerging Leaders Program are listed on the site.

Entry Point

Riley Guide offers pointers on job searching for first time and experienced job seekers. Self-Assessment Tools are available to explore career options. Riley Guide has a list of Networking
and Support Groups to see if there is someone to speak with in your area.
