My name is Allie Carter. I am a third year majoring in Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife; specializing in Forestry and Wildlife. I am most excited about adding more plants to my list of favorites! I love learning about growing things, classifying them, and putting that knowledge to use! The quote on my coat of arms says:
“Preoccupied with the leaf and you miss the tree, preoccupied with the tree and you miss the forest.”
I tend to focus on the minute details of the forest: looking at the bark or leaf of a tree, looking up at the canopy, or bending down to inspect the detail of a moss. This semester most of my classes are focused on how things interact at an ecosystem level and I would like to see evidence of this with my own eyes.
In my free time I like to read, quilt, crochet, and cross-stitch (I have an inner old grandma, I know ;).
