About Me
Undergraduate Pre-Dietetics Major
The Ohio State University
Kate is studying Nutrition at Ohio State University in hopes of becoming a Registered Dietician, and then continuing on to P.A. school. She is from Southern California, but loves living in the Midwest. She hopes to one day work in the Navy using her degrees and serve overseas. She is involved in many clubs on campus, such as Future Buckeye Physician Assistants, Ski and Snowboard Team, Buckeyes for a Cause, and Delta Gamma Fraternity.

Global Awareness: For the past 6 years Kate has visited Baja Mexico, specifically Tijuana and Tecate, and served as a volunteer. She has helped build houses, latrines, and even started her own charity where she provided new soccer goals, balls, and gear with money she raised.
Academic Enrichment: Kate takes many summer classes as well as other academically challenging classes to her schedule. She challenges herself every day through her classes and extracurriculars.
Leadership Development: Kate is leader among her sorority and throughout her peers. She is involved in many clubs, and within these clubs, she leads by example. She hopes to hold a leadership position in the near future.
Service Engagement: Kate is a part of Best Buddies which pairs special needs kids and adults with college students of a similar age. She also volunteers for the Red Cross regularly. In addition, Kate volunteers for the Ohio State School for the Blind with her sorority.

- Office Assistant, Camp counselor, event employee. Duties included taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, setting and cleaning up, taking care of the kids, and working various events.
Guest Speaker at Chapman University 07/2015-Present
- I speak to graduate Speech Pathology classes about stuttering and life experiences.
Gelato Paradiso 08/013-03/2014
- Duties include serving the customers gelato, working the cashier, cleaning dishes, and making drinks.
Kate’s Tasty Meals 09/2010-08/2014
- A self-started company where I prepared and delivered meals to customers. Other responsibilities include creating a website, publicity, and talking with customers.
Philanthropy
Red Cross 03/2015- Present
- F.A.S.T. member (First Aid Safety Team). The first aid safety team provides first aid services to different social and sporting events around Columbus.
James Cancer Hospital Volunteer 09/2015-Present
- Worked closely with the nurses and hospital staff to clean patient rooms, assist patients to other parts of the hospital, and cater to the patients dietary needs.
Best Buddies 09/2010-Present
- Best Buddies connects special needs teens and adults with high school and college kids of similar ages.

- Worked as a patient transportation worker and hospital employee at Hoag Hospital.

- Goals for life is a charity I started where I brought new goals and soccer gear to the impoverished in Tecate, Mexico.
