My name is Moro Alhassan, I am a student of Fisher College of Business, studying B.S. Administration Accounting. I started my accounting program in Ghana before I relocated here, so I just transfer directly into the same program. I also want to pursue a career in business with an emphasis on accounting and finance. I selected this field because my ultimate aim is to build a business empire and work for myself.
My lifetime goals are divided into three categories, namely short-term goals, mid-term goals, and long-term goals. My short-term goal is centered on my professional and educational goals. I have planned to complete my bachelors in Business Administration-Accounting by 2019 and secure a job as soon as possible. My midterm goal is to enroll immediately after my degree program into Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Ans also simultaneously register and sit for Chartered Public Accountants (CPA) exams to acquire their license to make me more marketable. My ultimate plan is learning as much as I can about starting and managing a business. I would also like to learn as much as possible about finance and marketing, which I find to be two of the most interesting aspects of the career I have chosen and the goals I have set for myself. I want to have a fair knowledge of all the departments of the business, especially the financial sector. I want to be able to make prudent investments, minimize cost and maximize profit. In the long run, I intend to expand my business beyond the shores of this country.
I enjoy watching or listening to presentations on entrepreneurship on how to start a small-scale business. I have a big goal and the journey is going to come with a variety of challenges. Going forward, determination, commitment, and a proper business plan is the key. A detail business plan that will break the goal into stages and tackled it stage by stage till I reach my destination. The other interesting thing about me is that I love to cook, and I cook almost every food that goes into my system.
