Teaching Goals

As a nurse educator, some of the my teaching goals include:

  • Assisting students in explanding his or her ability to apply critical thinking skills in caring for patients
  • Assisting students in understanding how to help take care of patients and families from a holistic standpoint
  • Enhancing communication skills
  • Enhancing technical skills
  • Incorporating evidence-based practice into everyday practice
  • Striving to help students provide excellent, high quality and safe care at all times
  • Educating students on how to become culturally competent
  • Teaching students how to use technology in patient care
  • Becoming a mentor and role model for students
  • Developing lifelong learners
  • Assisting students to achieve his or her educational and professional goals
