As a nurse educator, some of the my teaching goals include:
- Assisting students in explanding his or her ability to apply critical thinking skills in caring for patients
- Assisting students in understanding how to help take care of patients and families from a holistic standpoint
- Enhancing communication skills
- Enhancing technical skills
- Incorporating evidence-based practice into everyday practice
- Striving to help students provide excellent, high quality and safe care at all times
- Educating students on how to become culturally competent
- Teaching students how to use technology in patient care
- Becoming a mentor and role model for students
- Developing lifelong learners
- Assisting students to achieve his or her educational and professional goals
