“Only Love” by Mumford and Sons

My favorite lyric in this song is “only love will win in the end”. I love listening to this song at any point at the day. It’s a really great reminder that my love for God and his love for me and for all people are really the only things that will win in the end. The hatred, malice, and vanity of this earth are all going to pass away, but God’s love is going to endure forever.

“Where Are You Now” by Mumford and Sons

This is my go-to breakup/heartbreak song. This is a song that when I am sad and alone, I can scream along to it and feel so much better. It helps me get through some hard times.

“Migraine” by Twenty One Pilots

I love this song so much. It has a lot of significance for me because I get a lot of migraines from stress, but this song relaxes me and puts my migraines in perspective. “And I will say that we should take a day to break away

From all the pain our brain has made, the game is not played alone

And I will say that we should take a moment and hold it

And keep it frozen and know that life has a hopeful undertone” These lyrics hold a lot of significance for me. I totally agree that we need to take a moment and step back and see that we need people to get through this life and know that life has hope.

“Dust Bowl Dance” by Mumford and Sons

This song has a lot of significance for me. It has no relevance to my life, but I really have no clue. I really just like the line “Collect your courage and collect your horse, and pray you never feel the same kind of remorse”. To be completely honest, I’m not sure why this song has significance- I just know that I sing along to it a lot in the shower and in the car. It’s just a fun song to sing!

“The Cave” by Mumford and Sons

“Cause I have other things to fill my time, you take what is yours and I’ll take mine”. This song is about a relationship, I think. It talks a lot about the dude wanting to help the girl, maybe? To be completely honest, this song has significance because it’s the first song I sung with one of my best friends at summer camp. It was a huge bonding moment and now we’ve been close for years. This song was the start of a close friendship!

“Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” by Cage the Elephant

This is such a “get off my butt” song! I love this song because it describes a guy asking criminals/prostitutes why they do what they do, and their response is “there ain’t no rest for rest for the wicked, money don’t grow on trees, I got bills to pay and I got mouths to feed.. I can’t slow down, though you know I wish I could”. It has significance for me because it’s another song I sang with a good friend at a Tuesday night summer camp jam session, and it was the start of another friendship.

“U Guessed It” by OG Marco

This is a song that my roommates and I used to sing together before our weekly house meeting. I don’t really agree with the lyrics or think that it’s a good lifestyle, but it’s just got a good beat and is fun to sing!

“Honey I’m Good” by Andy Grammar

This was also the start of another friendship. My roommate and I used to sing this song in her car all the time, and we even sang it at karaoke once. This song holds a lot of fun memories for me.
