Year in Review

Although my freshman year was not ideal due to the global pandemic, I am still thankful for all the experiences, friends, and relationships I have had along the way. We were thrown into an environment completely unfamiliar to us, but we still managed to thrive and overcome the challenges of online classes, limited to no social gatherings, and a difficult semester for us all. Thanks to HSS, MSA, and some friends I made along the way, I become informed of opportunities I could be apart of that will help me develop as a person, a friend, and a leader. I became director of an up and coming Medical Careers club where we are raising money for Nationwide Children’s, secured a spot as a Neuroscience Ambassador for next year, and began volunteering at a food pantry in Columbus. I am excited to see what the future holds and can not wait to meet even more people when we are back in person in the coming months. Overall, I believe it was a successful year, as even though we had a rough start, we made the most out of it and it was not as bad as it was made out to be.
