Recognition for Reviewing

Reviewer recognition through VITA

If you are asked to participate as a reviewer for the ANR fact sheets, you are able to record your contribution through VITA. Follow these directions:

  1. Login to VITA at https://vita.osu.edu
  2. Click to sign in in the top right of the browser window.
  3. Hover over “MY DATA” in the gray nav bar in the middle of the page. Select “Professional Activities”
  4. In the top right of the “My professional activities” page, click the button for “Add a new professional activity”
  5. Choose “Add a new committee membership” from the list
  6. Fill out the form. Fields with a red asterisk are REQUIRED by the system. Fields with a blue question mark next to them will appear on your dossier. Note that not all fields are required AND will appear on the dossier. So, for example, while you must indicate if you are currently on a committee (true / false), you will not see that response on your printed document. “Description of effort” is NOT required. So, you may choose to leave it blank; BUT if you fill the field in, it WILL appear on the dossier.

**Also … note on the “Institution” field. You can skip the “name” field. Enter “Ohio State University, Columbus” in the ‘Institution’ field (top green arrow, below) for the form (as you start to type, you should see an auto-complete pop-up with that string of text – if you click the auto-complete suggestion with your mouse, the ‘City’ and ‘Country’ fields will auto-complete). For ‘Department’, enter “Extension” (bottom green arrow, below). You can skip other fields in the sub form. Once you’ve filled in the Institution and Department, click the “Add” button in the bottom of the sub-form. This will populate the TOP “Institution” field (red oval, below). If the red oval field is NOT completed, the system will NOT let you save this form.
