About Me

I was born in Mexico City, Mexico. Due to my dad working at a job that required him to move a lot, we moved to Venezuela when I was two years old. We lived in Venezuela for another two years then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. I have one older brother who is a second year here at tOSU. I am here at Ohio State because growing up I was told I had to go to college. From a young age I always knew Ohio State was the college for me. I loved Ohio State due to the fact that it was a big school similar to my high school and it was close to home. Being close to home was important to me because my family is very close so it is a nice bonus to be able to see them more often than if I were to go to an out of state college. In high school I was involved with our school bank. I was a Finance employee my junior year and moved to President of the bank my senior year. This raised my interest in majoring in business because I was shown what business was at a young age. Another experience that helped me realize that I wanted to be a business major was the moment that I signed up for Honors Financial Accounting. Throughout this class we learned accounting and every time we would finish an assignment the satisfaction of having balance sheets and financial statements equal each other was significant. As a result of this, I saw myself having a future in this category. I have pursued these interests here at Ohio State by joining the Business Scholars program and getting involved with being treasurer of Ohio State’s Ultimate Frisbee Club. I am currently interested in being a Financial Advisor or Financial Accountant due to my background in Finance as well as interest in a Financial Accounting class. I hope my time here at Ohio State is beneficial to not only me but my peers. I look forward to continuing to be a part of the Ultimate Frisbee Club and look forward to continuing to keep contact with members of the Business Scholars Program.

Artifacts

For my artifact I picked a jersey the OSU club frisbee team gave me for being the best defensive player. This artifact means a lot to me because it belonged to a great player that graduated from the team in 2007 (before the club was given actual jerseys to wear). This jersey has been passed down many times over the years and the fact that it was given to me represents the hard work that I put towards this club. I hope to continue to keep the legacy going by passing on the jersey when I graduate.
