1/22/2020, 11:30 am, Face to Face, Dustin, Eric, Joel, Adam.
Objective of meeting:
The purpose of this meeting was to put together the basic structure of the AEV vehicle.
Tasks completed from previous meeting:
The first decision was choosing the prototype design structure. The group created a design rating chart (found in design documentation) to decide which design would work best for our ideas on the project.
Tasks to be completed in the coming week:
The main task that is to be completed this week is to get further along the process of preliminary research and development.
Decisions made by group:
There have been no large decisions made by the group to this point so far.
Reflection on previous assignment:
There was no previous assignment therefore no deadlines were missed, no work was substandard, there are no differing expectations, and no conflicts.
2/5/2020 Face to face, Dustin, Adam, Joel, Eric
Objective:
Complete website update 2 and begin work on progress report 1. Prepare material for committee meeting 1
Tasks completed at previous meeting:
The basic design of the AEV was chosen and ideas on motor configuration and quantity were talked about.
Decisions made by the group:
The group decided on the layout and design of the website.
Reflections on previous assignment:
The group went over where points were missed and how to prevent future similar points from being missed.
2/12/2020
Objective:
To complete progress report 1 and the R&D draft slides
Tasks completed at previous meeting:
Website update 2 was completed and the progress report was started
Decisions made by the group:
The group made decisions on the basic structure and content of the R&D presentation
Reflections on previous assignment:
The group went over where points were missed and how to prevent future similar points from being missed.
2/26/2020
Objective:
To complete the R&D presentation and begin progress report 2
Tasks completed at previous meeting:
Progress report 2 was completed and the draft slides were started
Decisions made by the group:
Decisions were made as to what content was discussed as well as how the presentation would be structured based on the new information. The group made a decision on motor configuration and quantity, based on the data collected we found 3 motors configured in the same directions in a triangle pattern yielded the best results. The 3rd major decision came when choosing a braking system.
Reflections on previous assignment:
The group went over where points were missed and how to prevent future similar points from being missed.
3/4/2020
Objective:
To finish progress report 2 and begin website update 3 and add as the lab sessions are completed.
Tasks completed at previous meeting:
Progress Report 2 was completed
Decisions made by the group:
We found that an active braking system allowed for the shortest stopping distance with out using a large amount of energy that comes with power braking system. A passive braking system was not ideal because of its large stopping distance was not worth the energy saved.
Reflections on previous assignment:
The group went over where points were missed and how to prevent future similar points from being missed.
4/16/2020
Objective:
Finish the CDR and finalize the project website.
Tasks completed in previous meeting:
Website update 3 was completed
Decisions made by group:
There were no major decisions made by the group regarding the project itself, but allocation of resources such as what team member was working on what was discussed.
Reflections on previous assignment:
The group assessed what needed to be fixed on the website based on feed back and did just that.
