During my last year of high school I completed the Bodies Allied Program. In this program, I took classes and did clinicals at the Physician’s Free Clinic to receive a Clinical Lab Assisting Certificate. Working in close contact with patients by following correct procedures to draw blood gave me exposure to the healthcare field and further confirmed that I wanted to be in the medical field. This clinical experience gave me practical skills and interested me more in a healthcare career.
