Explore the Outdoors with Adams County 4-H!

Join us as we Explore Adams! Adams County 4-H will once again offer an Explore the Outdoors SPIN (SPecial INterest) club where youth will meet this spring exploring our Great Outdoors through hiking our local nature preserves. Guest speakers and specialists in their fields will participate to add to the educational experience for our youth. We will provide hands on learning about Birds, Insects, Wildlife, Plants, Trees, Streams, Conservation and Preservation.
Open to any youth 8 years old and in the 3rd grade or 9 years old in any grade and up to 18 years as of January 1st. Registration deadline – April 1, 2023. Sign up today at go.osu.edu/ExploreAdams. Adams County 4-H Kids College

Kids College classes are filling up! Choose from Archery, Art, Cake Decorating, Fishing with Phipps, Food Fun, or STEM and complete project work, learn more about pre-fair judging, and leave with supplies to help complete your project. Cost is just $10. Register before April 15 at http://go.OSU.edu/KidsCollege22. Youth must be a 4-H project member to attend but do not have to be enrolled in the project area they choose to explore. Kids College is sponsored by Southern State Community College.

Explore the Outdoors SPIN Club

Explore the Outdoors with our newest SPIN (SPecial INterest) Club! This club will hike and explore many of our local natural areas joined by a terrific line up of guest speakers. Explore the Outdoors SPIN Club

Adams County 4-H would like to invite you to come Explore the Outdoors in our new SPIN Club (Special Interest Club). This SPIN Club is open to all youth, ages 8 years old and in the 3rd grade through 18 years of age as of January 1st. You do not have to be a current 4-H member to participate!

We will meet weekly for 8 weeks exploring our Great Outdoors through hiking our local nature preserves. Guest speakers and specialists in their fields will add to the educational experience for our youth. The SPIN will include hands on learning about Birds, Insects, Wildlife, Plants, Trees, Streams, Conservation and Preservation.

Youth planning to take the Explore the Outdoors project to pre-fair judging must have enrolled in that project by the February 15 enrollment deadline. They are welcome and invited to participate in the SPIN Club as an additional opportunity.

Adams County 4-H is hosting a Photography SPIN (SPecial INterest) Club geared towards youth ages 12-18 on Tuesdays May 25, June 8, 15, 22, 29 and July 6.  We will explore photography from camera settings and composition to editing and telling a story with pictures.  The SPIN Club will include special guest speakers, hands on learning, and a display of members’ final projects.

Members participating in the Photography SPIN Club will be provided DSLR cameras, equipment, editing software and more to use for the duration of the program thanks to a grant from the Ohio 4-H Foundation.  This is an in-person SPIN Club and space is limited to 10 participants.  To register visit go.osu.edu/PhotographySPIN and sign up today.
