Carving New Ideas Teen Workshop
(for youth in grades 8 through 12)

 

Carving New Ideas (CNI) is a camping opportunity that focuses on critical thinking and program facilitation for 4-H members in grades 8-12. The workshop is held at the scenic 4-H Camp Ohio in St. Louisville, Ohio. Campers develop their leadership skills while making new friends from across Ohio and participating in fun activities. Camp counselors are college students at The Ohio State University. Adult staff members providing risk management, nursing services, and meals are staff and volunteers from Franklin County 4-H.

Check-in: Friday, October 29, 2021, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Check-out: Sunday, October 31, 2021, 10:00am

All registrations are due by October 6, 2021.
Your registration will not be considered complete until:

Strengthening Families Program Comes to Adams County

Families with youth ages 10-14, are you interested in a more positive relationship with your youth? Join us for our 7 week Strengthening Families Program beginning October 7 at the Ohio Valley Career & Technical Center.  This program uses games, activities, videos, and art projects to help parents and their kids better communicate, show respect, and make choices as a family. Even if your family already operates smoothly, this program will be beneficial to you and your child, as it helps you form a stronger bond through projects and activities.
Each Thursday from October 7 through November 18 we will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a meal then have an hour of separate youth and adult programming and a final hour of family programming. The Ohio 4-H Foundation is seeking Ohio 4-H teens ages 14-18 to serve on the board of trustees. This year we will select two youth for a two-year term that will start January 1, 2022 and last until December 31, 2023.
