You are taking over a course that has traditionally been taught as a series of short lectures followed by large group discussions. Each class is 2 hours long, will be taught in a “standard” classroom, and has 35 students enrolled. You want to introduce new activities that include everyone, not just the 4-5 students that seem to speak up during every group discussion. By the end of your third class, each student should have created some new idea, product or way of viewing things.
Think about it…
- What active learning strategy or strategies could help your students reach the objective during this class?
- What tech tool(s) could you use support to support this strategy? Why?
