Year in Review

Over the course of the year my happiness has grown. I spent high school believing I always had to make sacrifices to be successful. I was the student who couldn’t go out late because all I had time for was wrestling and schoolwork. I took hard classes and stayed up late struggling to complete my homework that rarely taught me anything. Now, I workout on my own time. I eat on my own time. I hang out with friends and I do homework on my own time. I sleep more than 8 hours a day, am in better shape than I have ever been, have the greatest friend group I could imagine and my grades are better than they were in high school. Even though my grades in college matter much more than they did in high school, I don’t have panic attacks before big tests and  large projects like I did in high school. My newfound independence has allowed me to learn what works best for me, to learn what is important to me, and to learn who I am.

Artifacts

This series of photos was my submission for my third photography project. This was my first time taking intro photography and I struggled finding inspiration for the first two projects. At first I didn’t take my work seriously because I only thought of photography as a required art GE instead of a topic that I could potentially enjoy. I eventually found inspiration in the comedic aspect of photography, and my professor loved it! This series incorporates three of my favorite things: poker, ‘the boys’, and a lack of clothes!

About Me

My intended major is Biology. I aspire to use this degree to get into medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. I also hope to become a hospital CEO one day. One thing about me is that I love my dog. I FaceTime my dog when I can and always try and play fetch whenever I am home. I was a wrestler for 6 years and plan on doing more martial arts clubs at the Ohio State University. I like going out on weekends and like to be around people as much as possible.
