My career goal first and foremost is to be able to work in a company that is developing sustainable energy using renewable natural resources such as geothermal and hydroelectric. I see myself working in a team of engineers that will develop more efficient ways of harnessing these kind of renewable energy and I see myself leading my own team in 5 years of working in the field. As for my direction of continuing my formal education after B.S in FABE I would prefer to pursue my masters degree under my company’s professional development program/ sponsorship. In my opinion having some working experience in the field before going for my masters would contribute significantly in my experience as a graduate students.
In terms of seeking informal learning experience, undoubtedly I would seek out technical journal and books in order to broaden my knowledge of the current technological advancement of my field. Participating in a professional organization would also serve a great addition in my effort to connect with people from my field and learn new issues revolving around the field. In the future, staying up to date with the current technology would be one of my important goals as it would help developed my skill to perform my duty more efficiently. To achieve this I would actively seeking reading materials and presentation on new research and development in my field.
