The Columbus Museum of Art has been recently renovated and offers a range of galleries and exhibits. Tours are available upon request. Thursdays are “pay what you want” days and Sundays are free if you are still in the area.

The Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are located just two miles from downtown Columbus and offer both indoor and outdoor gardens, exhibits, and artworks. The Conservatory and Gardens frequently offer special events and activities, as well as classes and workshops.

COSI is one of the country’s top-rated science centers, filled with hundreds of interactive exhibits and events catered to both kids and adults.

German Village is a small historic neighborhood just south of downtown. It is filled with excellent dining options, shops, and some great german cuisine and puff pastries can be found at Schmidt’s restaurant. Also, be sure to check out the fudge shop next door!

Short North Arts District, www.shortnorth.org
The Short North Arts District is another popular neighborhood in Columbus, situated between The Ohio State University Campus and downtown Columbus. The area is full of art galleries, restaurants, bars, clubs, and plenty of shops.
