At the Ohio State University Augmentative & Alternative Communication Clinic (OSU SLHC AAC Clinic), we provide the following services:
- In-depth AAC evaluations, sometimes occurring over several sessions, in which we identify which device(s) may be most appropriate for the individual.
- AAC funding applications, including applications for speech-generating devices and other equipment.
- Consultative therapy appointments, in which we provide training on how to use and program devices to meet clients’ needs and incorporate AAC into their daily lives.
All evaluations and therapy sessions are conducted by graduate students in the Speech-Language Pathology Master’s program at The Ohio State University. They are directly supervised by Dr. Amy Miller Sonntag, SLP-D, CCC-SLP, who has over 20 years of experience in AAC.
