Healthy Body, Healthy Mind SPIN Club

Join 4-Hers from across the state as we learn fun ways to keep our body and mind healthy. Yoga for Kids, games, activities and more all in the comfort of your home and in our virtual SPIN club setting.

New Year, New You: Making YOUR Best Better

Greetings 4-H Youth and Parents,

January starts a new year, letā€™s make a new you.Ā  We are excited to offerĀ New Year, New You: Making YOUR Best Better (targeted at youth in 5th-8th Grades).Ā  We will tackle topics that will help you be informed to make the best choices for the best you.Ā  You will receive a fun swag bag in the mail when you sign up that contains items that relate to the weekly topics.Ā  Each week we will have guest speaker(s), activities, and time to talk with other youth when we meet for about an hour.

You are invited to joinĀ New Year, New You: Making YOUR Best BetterĀ series being held on Sundays February 7 ā€“ March 14. These sessions will be held virtually on ZOOM from 7:00 ā€“ 8:15 p.m.Ā  The attached flyer provides a brief description and information on how to register.Ā More information will be given to youth once registered.

Poultry SPIN Club Opportunity

We realize there is a quick turnaround, but we are hosting a Poultry SPIN Club opportunity for all poultry exhibitors!

We invite youth ages 8-18 to learn about all things poultry! Sessions will cover breeds, basic knowledge, housing, equipment, handing, showmanship, common health concerns, bio-security, and nutrition. We will take a virtual field trip, learn about careers, and marketing in the poultry industry. The club will meet Mondays and Wednesdays starting on Monday, June 8th ā€“ Wednesday, July 1st at 1pm. The cost is free and location is from the comfort of your own home/computer. To register go to go.osu.edu/poultrySPINreg. Once registered, participants will receive a zoom link for the sessions. Space is limited, and there is no time to waste!

 

Investigating Electricity SPIN Club

Join Hamilton County 4-H Volunteer Dean Rettig for the ā€œInvestigating Electricityā€ Virtual Special Interest (SPIN) Club!

Dates: Tuesday & Thursdays June 2, 2020- June 18, 2020

Ohio 4-H Small Garden Virtual SPIN Club

Have fun in this virtual 4-H Special Interest SPIN Club learning how to make small gardens from easy to find items. Activities include seed starting, seed bombs, repurposing containers for the garden, herb and pizza gardens, terrariums, succulents, garden art, imagination gardens, and more!

Every Tuesday at 3:30-4:30pm from May 28 to July 9

Upcycle SPIN Club

Any youth are more than welcome to join this SPIN club if they are interested in completing a Self Determined project this year. Youth must be enrolled in project 365 before completing this project within the SPIN club. It does require a pre-registration and it starts next week!

Virtual SPIN Club Opportunity

Jami Dellifield and Amanda Raines, authors of the project book, are hosting a virtual SPIN Club for the Your Thoughts Matter: Navigating Mental Health project.Ā  The flyer is attached.Ā  If you enrolled in the project this is a good way to complete the project for 2020. Ā If you are not enrolled in the project call the Extension Office at 740-962-4854 to enroll in the project prior to May 15th the add, drop, or change deadline for projects. Ā If you have taken the project previously you might find the discussion and activities with 4-Hers from across the state a great experience.
