Does a 4-H member with a disability in your 4-H Club or family need an accommodation?

Here is a link https://ohio4h.org/about/join-4-h#winning-plan to learn more about the Winning 4-H Plan and download the form. You can also contact our office at 740-962-4854 to a get a form mailed or stop by the Extension office Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM to pick up a form.

If your 4-H member was on a Winning 4-H Plan in 2022 please call the office to confirm they still need an accommodation, and no changes are needed. If a 4-H member has added a new project or changed project for 2023 please complete a new Winning 4-H Plan Request form.

To ensure that accommodations can be made to meet the needs we request that you contact the office or submit forms by June 1, 2023.

EquiSTEP for 4-H Horse members

REMINDER:

New is 2023, EquiSTEP an equine safety, training, and education program becomes an annual requirement for all Ohio 4-H youth enrolled in a horse project. You have two options to complete the requirement for 2023.

  • Complete the online self-paced course by enrolling at http://cfaesosu.catalog.instructure.com/courses/equistep-2023 and completing the quiz at the end of the course.
  • Attend the face-to-face training on May 1st from 5:30-7 PM at the Extension Office meeting room 155 Main St. McConnelsville Room 325 Riecker Building and completing the online Quiz after the training online or complete it online at home.

 

NOTE: You need to have an individual email address for each youth completing the course. This is a requirement to take your project and participate PAS shows, state fair and the county fair as a 4-H Equine Exhibitor.

4-H Riding Therapy

4-H Riding Therapy is looking for volunteers for the 2023 program. If you are a 4-H member or current 4-H volunteer, you can help with the program. You need to call the office at 740-962-4854 and share you interest, and we will connect you to the 4-H volunteer in charge of the program. The program runs early July until the exhibition at the Morgan County Fair in September.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an adult volunteer for the program stop by the office and pick up an application packet or complete the online application at http://go.osu.edu/4hridingtherapy.

DEADLINE to complete the application is May 4, 2023.

4-H Club officers elected for 2023 are encouraged to complete trainings and if a 4-H Club wants to be an Honor Club for 2023 it is required.

 

 

 

 

Camp Counselor 2023 Application Deadline

The application to be a 4-H Camp Counselor in 2023 is available at http://go.osu.edu/campcounselormoco2023.

The camp counselor program is open to any 4-H member 15 years old as of January 1st. Deadline to apply is November 21st at 4:30 PM.

Reminder we need a minimum of 16 camp counselors to move forward with an overnight camp for 2023.
