The 2019 Ohio 4-H Cloverbot Challenge will be held on Saturday, June 29 at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center.  Deadline for registration is May 1.  Flyer: 2019 Cloverbot Challenge[1]-1tg9g2l

A firefighter, a scientist, a teacher, an accountant, a farmer, a game designer, a veterinarian…what do you want to be when you grow up? The 2019 4-H Cloverbot Challenge is all about careers and learning what it takes to do that special job.

Explore
Cloverbot teams will spend their time finding out about possible occupations. As a team, narrow your list to one or two similar careers:
• What is the demand for your chosen job?
• What skills are needed?
• Do you need to go to college or technical school? How long?
• What are benefits and why are they important to a job?
• Where do you do your job?

The Challenge
Use the answers to one or more of these questions and find the challenges related to that profession, then create your model showing the occupation in action.

Raise You Hand for Ohio 4-H

Only one in three young people say they have the skills to handle what life throws their way. If we don’t give our kids the opportunity to succeed, we all fail.
That’s where 4-H comes in. 4-H programs meet youth and families where they live, serve community needs and build critical life skills kids need to thrive.

As a result, 4-H created the “Raise Your Hand” initiative – a nationwide callto-action for 4-H alumni, supporters, and friends to vote for their state to win
funding to help more kids in their communities benefit from 4-H hands-on learning programs.

The three states with the most hands raised will receive $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 to bring local 4-H programs to more kids. But that’s not all, the state with the highest increase in hands raised over last year will receive an “Inspire Kids to Do” photo shoot, coordinated and supported by National 4-H Council to help tell the story of their local changemakers!

Please join us and Raise Your Hand, because every child deserves a chance to succeed.  Just click on the picture to Raise Your Hand!
