3D Printing is a fairly new technology that has only just begun to be introduced. Many people who hear the words “3D Printing” or “Additive Manufacturing” don’t  understand what those words really mean. 3D Printing is just like 2D Printing, a data file is uploaded to a machine and the infromation from the data is printed. However, instead of ink, 3D printers use materials to bring to life designs created with the help of Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software.

The website gives an overview of 3D Printing in manufacturing car parts, as well as the use of 3D printers by individuals creating their own parts for cars. Finally, the website discusses the creation of an entire car using additive manufacturing and just how large the impact of 3D printing will have on the future.
