Element #2
3 Factors Influencing Development
- Nutrition
Having good nutrition for babies is vital to have good growth and development. Good nutrition with sufficient nutrients are necessary not just to make sure that the body is getting what it needs to grow and sustain itself, but also needs good food to power and grow the brain. Being so young, with their whole life ahead of them it is very important that babies are getting enough food as if they are malnourished now it can have long term consequences. If a baby were to not get the food they need in this critical stage, they could end up not growing as much as they should have or even have an under developed brain.
- Attachement Style
It is very important as your baby is growing that you establish a good attachment style to them. Many studies have shows that babies need at least one good relationship and attachment style with a caregiver to have normal social and emotional development. In order to do this you should be spending plenty of time with your baby and give them all the attention they need so that they feel cared for. It is very important to have a good attachment style with your child as the relationship between child and caregiver is one of the first human relationships they will ever have and the precedences set with this relationship can have a great effect on ho w they view and act in relationships for their whole life.
- Stress
Stress is can have both negative and positive effects, this is depending on making sure it is not in excess. A small amount of stress is normally seen as good, in doses, stress lets you know that what you’re doing is important and matters and can be very motivating Babies do not have as much control over their stress so it is very important as a parent that you are making sure your child does not become overwhelmed with stress.
