2019-2020 Board Members

Mateo Gutierrez – Board President

Hey everyone! I am Mateo Gutierrez, a Freshman studying Economics and International Studies with a minor in Chinese. I’m glad to be serving on your board to improve the sanitation experience in 2150. Currently, many members of our community are complaining about the bathroom situation and I agree. Here are some quotes that I have overheard in the past couple of days:

  • “There is a strange smell… like s**t”
  • “The hair in the shower drain is its own species”
  • “It’s so ******* disgusting”
  • “There are shampoo bottles on the ******* floor”
  • “The toilet had pubes on it”
  • “Some guy was playing **** in the shower”

and many more…

I want to be able to provide a better experience for those living in 2150, but we have to work as a community to reach our goals. Unfortunately, many, if not all of the problems stem from the people living in this suite as well. We need to recognize our faults before we can improve our conditions. I am actually surprised that no one has gotten foot fungus or any other disease from the horrid bathroom situation that we deal with on a daily basis.

Godspeed 2150, Godspeed.

Kurtis Chenoweth – Vice Chair

Hello all, I am a first-year Biomedical Engineer at the Ohio State University. Throughout the past four months, my fellow board members and I have experienced the unthinkable: Hair monsters growing in the drains. Overflowing trash cans. Rooms that are hotter than the average sauna.

But the past does not define the future. We are the salvation. I hope to represent, to the best my abilities, the single greatest group of people in the world: my fellow students in suite 2150 of THE Lincoln House. We may have come from different backgrounds, but together we can achieve a level of sanitation that no other suite has ever dreamt of.  This is a new chapter in cleanliness.

Bon Voyage, 2150.

Nathan Hochstetler – Head of Research and Development

Hello fellow comrades! I am a first-year Material Sciences Engineer at THE Ohio State University. As a member of this board I promise to uphold all of the values of the Board of Sanitation and provide a cleaner and safer living space for all. The unclean nature of the primal human has begun to show up in all of us, but if we work together as a community of like minded Buckeyes, nothing can stop us. All for one and one for Lincoln House.

Smoke me a kipper, I’ll be back for breakfast.
