The final stages of the project include the testing of the AEV’s reliability and accuracy. For Performance Test 1 the AEV needed to be able to be placed on at the starting dock correctly. Then the AEV needs to be able to travel to the gate, trigger the gate, wait the allotted time, and finally pass through the gate. To prepare for the performance test it was necessary to to test multiple codes, and each time the code did not work, to vary, the position or speed. The materials used were the AEV, the computer and the track.
