About the Treasurer
Michael Papadakis has been the University’s Vice President for Financial Services and University Treasurer since his appointment by the Board in June of 2011.
Mike is Responsible for the overall leadership of Ohio State’s Financial Services Office, including Treasury Management, Risk Management, Debt Management, and the Office of the University Bursar. Mike currently serves as interim Chief Investment Officer providing oversight to the Office of Investments. He also serves on The Ohio State University Medical Self-Insurance Board of Directors and the Oval Limited Board of Directors. Some of his accomplishments at The Ohio State University include the issuance of the University Century Bond, issuance of Subordinated Housing Bonds, completion of a 20 Year Wind Power Purchase Agreement, Huntington Bank Affinity Agreement and the Campus Parking Concession.
Prior to joining Ohio State, he served as a Director of Energy Investment Banking at KeyBanc Capital Markets in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mike earned his MBA in Finance from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. Mike is also a Certified Public Accountant.
