osuglassesI am an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at The Ohio State University. My research focuses on how speakers make sense of variable patterns in language across social categories and contexts. I teach courses in English linguistics and language and media. I sit on the editorial boards of Discourse, Context, & Media and the Language and Computers book series (Brill), and I am the Review Editor for the Journal of English Linguistics.

This summer I’ll be co-hosting a workshop at the 2017 Linguistic Institute; check out Grammar across the Curriculum!

My Ph.D. in Linguistics is from University of Michigan. I have an M.A. in Linguistics from University of Virginia and a B.A. in Communication and Philosophy from American University.
