Amy Sheneman is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Fisher College of Business. She studies how external forces (e.g., regulation, auditors, activists) impact firms’ real activities and financial reporting choices, and the extent to which the capital markets respond to risk.

Sheneman earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She holds a Master of Business from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Accounting from Grand Valley State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePauw University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked as a Senior Manager at EY.

Outside of research and teaching, Sheneman enjoys reading, boating, writing journal entries, and having water balloon fights with her husband and charming children.
