The speaker for this event is Jessica Riviere, PhD

Dr. Riviere is an instructional consultant and Coordinator for Graduate Teaching Assistant Programs. She earned her doctorate in German Literature and Language from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Prior to her work at UCAT she was an academic adviser and lecturer in German at Vanderbilt, where she also spent two years as a Graduate Teaching Fellow in the Center for Teaching. Her current interests are in graduate teaching development and graduate education, particularly in the humanities.

Who: Erandi De Silva, PhD, Director of Biology at Ohio State Drug Development Institute (DDI)

Dr. De Silva is a molecular biologist with experience in genomics, genetics and target discovery. She is an experienced team leader in both academic and industrial settings. Previously at Genentech, she brings preclinical development and project management experience to the DDI.

The OSU Technology Commercialization Office will be hosting a seminar for postdocs called “The Cycle of Innovation”. This seminar will cover the steps to patenting and licensing your ideas while at OSU.
