Annual COE / SCA Symposium Registration Link is Live!

OSU’s Center for Operational Excellence and Fisher’s Supply Chain Association are cohosting the virtual annual Supply Chain Symposium on Friday, October 23rd from 12 – 2 pm.

First, Dr. Keely Croxton will introduce the topic of Risk and Reward in agile supply chains.  She will be followed by the former Western Digital CEO, Steve Milligan, to speak about the lessons his company learned in the 2011 Thai floods and how it prepared his company for COVID-19.  Finally, Erika Zavar of Cardinal Health will speak about the rapid demand increase and supply chain considerations in medical device distribution.

After the presentations, supply chain professionals and students can connect in breakout rooms to connect with industry professionals and get your name out there.

Upcoming Tours

We have exciting tours are in store for the near future!

  • On Friday 3/29 we will visit NetJets, a premiere private jet and logistics services provider headquartered at the John Glenn International Airport in Columbus.
  • On Monday 4/8 we will tour a distribution center of Lululemon, an athletic apparel company known for more than just its culture and female attire.
  • On a yet-to-be-confirmed Friday, Acoust-A-Fiber, which designs and manufactures engineering products for the automotive industry out of Delaware, OH, will host OLMA members

Looking for volunteers for the COE Summit!

The COE (Center for Operational Excellence) is having their annual Summit on April 9 – 11 and they are looking for volunteers. This is a chance to meet and interact with various industry professionals and take part in amazing experiences via breakout sessions, workshops, tours, and speaking events. This year’s theme is Leading Through Excellence. There will be FREE FOOD and SHIRTS for all who join! Normal attendance requires a minimum $135 fee per session, but the entire event is FREE to those who volunteer.)

OLMA Speaker Series – Innovation

OLMA is pleased to host Mr. Surendra Chawla, Senior Director of Innovation, Goodyear Tires for luncheon presentation.

Surendra will present on “Innovation in the 21st Century – A Growth Imperative”. Goodyear is a pioneer in “Open Innovation” and this would be a great opportunity to gain exposure to the latest trends in Innovation and how companies manage the same.

2013-2014 LINKS Symposium

We will be adopting a panel discussion format with Fisher Faculty and executives from companies like Emerson, Greif, Huntington, Cardinal Health, and Nationwide for this year’s LINKS.  The event will be moderated by the Sr Vice President of Quality at Johnson and Johnson.
