Goodbye to our graduating class of 2019! We will miss our seniors dearly and wish all of you the best going forward through all of the incredible things that await you!
(From left to right, Ohio Staters wishes the best for Natalie Miller, Joey Smith, Allie Neuhaus, Carson Sciulli, Margaret Meyo, Kyla Aho, and Sam Koziol!)
This spring semester, Ohio Staters collaborated with a number of talented students and musicians to put on a benefit show at Kafe Keroauc, the proceeds of which went to fund the Edward Beanie Drake scholarship. The bands were incredible and we are thankful for their help in putting together a wonderful night for a wonderful cause! Check out some of the images of our performers below!
Stop by this Saturday, April 6th from 4-6 in the Creative Arts Room in the basement of the Ohio Union for a sibs and kids celebration! Ohio Staters will be manning several stations decked out with sweet treats, coloring pages, and historical newspaper articles detailing the history of our beloved buckeye tradition. Come dip your own buckeyes and chocolate covered strawberries and get a Polaroid snapshot this weekend with us in celebration of the family you hold dear!
Come join us this Friday, March 29th from 2-4pm in Blankenship Hall for another rendition of an especially beloved Stater project, How Firm Thy Safety. Together we will thank the Ohio State Department of Public Safety and celebrate all we do for us each and every day of the year! There will be plenty of free food and a display to give to the officers who keep us safe. Hope to see you there!
At the ripe old age of 149 years old, our campus has a lot of history to tell. One of the best resources to learn more about the vivid stories Ohio State has to tell can be found in University Hall in the University Museum, where several Ohio Staters recently renovated the displays to curate a small but remarkably varied snapshot of the legacy left behind by generations of students. Check out some of the displays images below or swing by University Museum to see more for yourself!
This past weekend we happily welcomed Staters, old and new, to celebrate a year’s worth of accomplishments and to commemorate many years’ worth of legacy and tradition at the 2019 Winter Banquet. We saw many alumni and officially inducted many new members, as well as a new faculty member, Barb Kefalas. We heard reports on the projects Ohio Staters, Inc. completed this year, recognized the efforts and talents of membership and officers, and heard words from speakers, alumni, and faculty members. Staters is happy to announce that the project Beloved Buckeyes was awarded the Founding Fathers Fund to highlight its importance and assist in its completion. Check out some of the photos below, captured by our very own faculty member Pat Whittington, to see some of the highlights of this year’s Winter Banquet!
Check out @theohiostateuniversity on Instagram to see our very own Ohio Staters project, the Script Ohio memorial sculpture! Better yet, check out Ohio Staters, @ohiostatersinc, to get to know a few current members through our Staters spotlight and to stay up-to-date with all the Stater happenings.
