Summer Science Spectacular, June 15-16, 2015 on the OARDC campus
Ohio State University’s OARDC Summer Science Spectacular provides a professional learning opportunity for elementary and secondary educators allowing them to experience world-class, cutting edge research conducted by scientists on the OARDC Wooster campus. From preschool to middle school, educators are able to utilize this tool to explore new ways to bring relevant, hands-on, standards-driven science to their own classrooms. Each workshop course re-energizes teachers and provides educators with opportunities to share ideas with peers while they enhance their knowledge of science. Each day provides 7.5 CEU’s.
The 2015 program will include two days of on-campus instruction including certification by Project Learning Tree. Additionally, we are partnering with the Triway High School to provide hands-on STEM strategies in the classroom as well as a segment focusing on teaching rolls featuring Ohio’s agricultural commodities in the classrooms coupled with an OARDC campus research laboratory tour.
