Monthly Mojo: Dr. Grieco

The next Monthly Mojo will be next Wednesday, April 17th, at 6:00pm in Townshend 247. This month we are featuring Dr. Yang, a 4th year internal medicine and pediatrics resident at OSU and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Yang holds a BS in electrical engineering from UCLA, an MS in civil engineering from UC Berkeley, and an MD from Brown University. He formerly worked in the San Francisco Bay Area developing travel time prediction software for the California Department of Transportation and speech recognition systems for Fortune 500 companies. He made the transition to medicine after observing skilled physicians caring for his young children. Upon completion of residency, Sam will be pursuing a fellowship in clinical informatics, helping to design technology tools to improve medical delivery.

Come and learn more about Sam’s journey and discover some more non-conventional paths to medical school! This is a great opportunity to stay involved in Nu Rho Psi while also meeting the academic event requirement for inductions. Snacks will be provided!

Monthly Mojo: Dr Bishop!

Come to our next Monthly Mojo tomorrow, September 26th, from 6:00-7:30 PM in Psych Room 10!

We will be having Dr. Bishop come and speak to us. Dr. Georgia Bishop has been involved in groundbreaking research involving synaptic plasticity in the cerebellum, and she is currently a professor and vice chair at Ohio State’s College of Medicine and Department of Neuroscience. Dr. Bishop also teaches Neuro 3050 and recently received the 2018 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.
