Drug trafficking in Central America wreaking havoc on forests, study finds

A fascinating study published inĀ Science by my colleague Kendra McSweeney shows that drug trafficking in Central America is increasing deforestation, with much of this resulting from building transportation infrastructure (roads, landing strips).
