We had a successful trip to the International Society for Microbial Ecology (ISME) Meeting this year. Here are some pics from our trip!
Kelly and first year graduate student, Kayla gave fantastic talks.
Also Kelly was the third most mentioned person during her talk on moose at ISME! Check out the statistics by Keith Turner and check him out on Twitter.
Graduate students at their posters (left to right: Jordan Angle, Robert Danczak, Paula Dalcin-Martin, Anne Brooker, Lindsey Solden):
Congratulations to Paula Dalcin-Martin on her ISME student travel award!

Our students are representing Ohio State and our team at the Joint Genome Institute’s Microbial Genomics and Metagenomics Workshop. OH!
This week Kelly took shale across the ocean and spoke at the German-American Frontiers of Science Symposium , a National Academy of Sciences meeting.
Check out some of the twitter buzz about the meeting:
The press conference at the American Geophysical Union conference in San Francisco this week sparked lots of “twitter chatter” about ongoing shale research in our lab and the Mouser, Cole, and Wilkins labs. Check out the article here and follow us on twitter!
Jordan, Kelly, and Garrett headed to Lisle, IL last week for the 7th Annual Argonne National Laboratory Soil Metagenomics Meeting.
Jordan had a great time presenting his poster on surface methanogens in wetlands!

Road trip back to Columbus after a successful, fun meeting!
Lindsey represented The Wrighton Lab this week at the American Association for Zoo Veterinarians in Portland, Oregon!
Kelly, Kayla and Dan are having a great time at the Multi-omics for Microbiomes conference!
Our lab is getting excited for the Multi-omics for Microbiomes Conference at PNNL this fall!
