First, to discuss how human physiology changes at high altitude and then to tell us about supplemental oxygen during air flight, pulmonologist and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Dr. Sindhu Mukku. Then, to tell us about the common medical conditions occurring during air travel and at high altitude, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Christopher Paul.

It wasn’t until 1965 that the first polysomnograph recorded apneas during sleep and it wasn’t until 1970 that the first sleep clinic was established at Stanford University in California. On this CME webcast, we’re going to show you how far we’ve come since that first sleep study was done 50 years ago. Joining our moderator, Dr. Jim Allen, in the studio is sleep medicine specialist and pulmonologist Dr. Aneesa Das and otolaryngologist Dr. Eugene Chio.
