Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese
The Department of Asian Studies at Williams College invites applications for a full-time one-year leave replacement position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese beginning in the Fall of 2018. The teaching load for this position is 5 courses per year. Qualifications include Ph.D. (ABD acceptable) in Chinese literature, linguistics, or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English; strong teaching experience at the college level; and ability to teach all levels of Chinese language including advanced language courses, as well as courses in the candidate’s area of specialization.
Application should include a cover letter, CV, sample syllabus for one course to be taught in English and one course to be taught in Chinese, and three recommendation letters.
