UNC lecturer position

The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill invites applications for a two-year renewable lecturer position in Chinese language beginning July 1, 2016. Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year, including introductory through advanced levels of Chinese, and active involvement in teamwork and program affairs. Educational Requirements

Master’s degree in Chinese language pedagogy or a related field.

Qualifications and Experience

Native or near-native command of Chinese and English; and familiarity with the methods and technologies used in teaching the language at the college level.

Paper or email applications will not be accepted. Required materials include a letter of application detailing teaching philosophy, CV, sample syllabi, and a teaching video of a 50-minute Chinese language class.

The minimum number of references required are 3 with a maximum of 3 reference letters.

Applicants may also submit transcripts and course evaluations. The required DVD must be received by January 19, 2016.
