The newly renovated May Research Group lab space!

The May lab is currently home to several air quality instruments:

  • Droplet Measurement Technologies 870 nm Photoacoustic Extinctiometer (aerosol light scattering and absorption)
  • Teledyne API NOx analyzer
  • Teledyne API CO analyzer
  • Teledyne API O3 analyzer
  • TSI Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer
  • Aerodyne Resesearch Potential Aerosol Mass Oxidation Flow Reactor
  • Kin-Tek EcoFlex gas-standard-generating oven
  • Suite of low-cost air quality sensors for CO, NO2+O3, NO2, and PM
  • Sunset OC/EC Analyzer (coming soon!)

The lab is located in Hitchcock Hall Room 008 and is part of the Ohio State Environmental Engineering Laboratory (EnvE Lab). The EnvE lab provides access to additional instrumentation including:

  • Thermo-Finnegan Trace GC/Polaris Q Ion Trap MS
  • Waters UPLC
  • Vista Ax CCD Simultaneous ICP-AES
  • Dionex ICS-2100
  • Shimadzu UV-2401 PC recording spectrophotometer
