The three dimensions of planning; urban design, transportation, and environment can all be connect through the use of the automobile. The use of the automobile brought changes to the way in which streets were created and the way the were changed to allow pedestrians to have access too. changes from railways and street cars to private owned automobiles and buses were causes of pollution in the air which has been changing the environment. many changes were made to incorporate the use of automobiles as people moved from urban areas to suburban areas where the use of automobiles were more necessary to get to and from work.

The environment changed a lot due to the adjustments made for automobiles. Global warming became more of an issue and houses had to be made with considerations of natural disasters and ways in which the city could come back from these natural disasters. Houses also were made to include the automobile with garages and lots. Many changes were made for the inclusion of automobiles, whether they were changes for better or for worse to society.

City skylines represents transportations by allowing you to create bus routes having forms of public and private transit throughout the city. There are people who travel through the city in their cars and some who use buses to get around. the simulation does not represent the change from rails, transportations like streetcars, to the use of automobiles and it also does not have private transits like taxi’s. Public transportation can be used to help boost the economy if used correctly. In my city the is an income that comes from the use of buses but too much of the budget is used on buses so I am spending more than what I take in Buses can be used to reduce traffic flow. Mass transit is useful for the simulation. The simulation gives you an idea of the way in which transportation can help or hurt the economy and the ways in which adjustments to the design of the city will need to be made.
