It is good to be Dean.

Some times more than others. Today was one of those more than others days.

As soon as I got to campus, I couldn’t stop thinking about what I love about my job—our faculty and staff—our students—the best and the brightest. I am lucky.

Around 9 a.m., I started feeling hungry. I began to think about donuts—I do love donuts. Most of all I love eating donuts with our students. Now, I couldn’t stop thinking about what fun it is to do that.

Suddenly—it was like the sun coming out—I realized it was Donuts with the Dean Day.

The sun has been out ever since.

Campus is never the same without our students; they bring everything to life. Soon, many will be off to new lives, but I am confident their arts and sciences education has prepared them to face all challenges.
