Our Approach

Our team approach is to assign one section of work to each member of the team. The idea behind this was that with one member focusing on one task, that area could be done productively and with high quality. Switching roles to allow each member to experience different sections of the project could lead to confusion and inconsistency due to members learning new roles or working on the same task as another member. Jacob Lichti was assigned the position of Arduino programmer. He had to write, organize, and report on the various code written throughout the project. Michael Blausey used the MATLAB Analysis Tool to create graphs that would aid in making decisions relating to the design process. All data obtained from important tests were made into graphs, saved, and reported by Michael. Jacob Fisher was tasked with organizing the documentation and making our research and results accessible and understandable to the public. The majority of technical writing and public advertising was completed by Jacob.

Target Audience

The audience that we are trying to reach with this project is the people of the poorer districts of Columbus. The monorail system we are designing is intended to provide an easier mode of traveling for people who lack access to cheap, easy transportation. We intend to reach this audience by providing concise and organized data and research through this website.
