Having technical difficulties with Wednesday’s screencast
The screencast was about solving MT2 problems, no new material was covered. It will be uploaded as soon as the technical issues have been resolved.
Comment on Prob. 2 of sample MT2
Note that E is connected to the 0 marking on the decoder and F to 1. This means that if we look at the truth table to determine the min-terms, E will be in the lowest significant column and F in the higher, i.e., the pair should be read as FE and not EF. Therefore E=0 and F=1 should be read as 10 and not 01 and will correspond to min-term m2. This is why register C gets connected to the bus for E=0 and F=1.

MT2_sample_sol.pdf has been updated to MT2_sample2_sol.pdf
Problem 2 statement in the last version (MT2_sample_sol.pdf) was a bit confusing; it has been rewritten to be more clear in the new version (MT2_sample2_sol.pdf). I have now removed the statement “Ignore Problem 2” from our web site.
