Week 8: Perspective
This one was really tough, especially the three point perspective. I used a book that my roommate had since I did not bring any of mine with me when I moved over summer. I did not have colored pencils for this so I just shaded the darker portions to add depth. I personally enjoyed the two point perspective more because I feel like I had the most freedom with it compared to the other two, I honestly got lost for a while with the three point perspective drawing because there were so many intersecting lines on the page.

Week 9: Collage Part 2
Week 8: Collage Part 1
I wanted to portray night life and the lights that come with it. The sort of lively neon night life aesthetic is personally my favorite so I took a few Columbus magazine and attempted to make a collage out of it.
Week 7: Reflection
This week we took our previous ink drawings and improved upon them after we critiqued the drawings of one another during our class time last Wednesday. Frankly, I had a lot to correct on mine since I was extremely unhappy with how it turned out. When I was making it, I hit a huge block and had no idea what to do with it and I was unhappy with what I did do with it. Drawing on large canvases is something I am not used to, so having to really get creative with the detail I wanted on the large canvas proved to be quite tedious, and I honestly gave up way sooner than I should have. I really drew some inspiration this time around from a couple of my classmates, especially Ava’s. Her drawing had much more ink than mine did and I did something similar to her background with mine, which was something I struggled with on the previous project. There was also one drawing, I forget whose it was but it was the one that was extremely good compared to all the others (I was very jealous, she doesn’t belong in a beginners class). She used a bunch of abstract patterns in hers and it kind of helped me open my eyes to see that I needed to get more creative with how I actually use my objects to put the ink down, rather than try and use them like a pencil to shade, as I found out that did not work very well. I think I can still improve, but I am much happier this time around with how the drawing turned out and I am glad we got to go back and redo them.
Week 6: Big Project 1
For this, I wanted to try and recreate a fall theme for it. Drawing the picture wasn’t hard, but using the ink and trying to shade was quite difficult and I am honestly not totally happy about how it turned out. Ink is pretty difficult to work with.
