Poster Symposium

ENR2100_Poster_Nov2013

What: You will present your final poster (worth 50% of your final project grade) at The Environmental Science Student Symposium, an annual event that exhibits the final project of students enrolled in Introduction to Environmental Science (ENR2100).

Where: The Ohio Union (in-person with your printed poster)

When: Approximately week 13

Why: To develop communication skills by presenting your designed poster and topic knowledge to your peers.

Directions: For the symposium you need to bring your poster and an electronic device (e.g., smart phone, tablet, laptop) with wireless capabilities.

When you arrive go to your assigned spot (poster number) and hang your poster to the mounting boards that we have set up.  Use the clips that we provide.  We will also provide you with a printed poster number that you should attach to your poster so the audience can see your poster number on your poster.  Maps for the posters are provided in the final program and@OSUEnViRo and go.osu.edu/posterday so make sure you know your poster number and where to set up your poster BEFORE arriving.

We will give you about 5-10 minutes to set up your posters and then we will start the presentations.  Students with even-numbered posters will walk around and conduct reviews and students with odd-numbered posters will stand at their posters and present.  After an hour we will switch so that everyone has a chance to conduct reviews and present their posters.
